Meet the Allbright Family; Brian, Leta, Nathan (age 7) and Natalie (age 5). On July 28th, 2018, the Allbright family's life was flipped upside down when Brian was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia or "AML" (a cancer of the blood). Like most families, the realization that devoted husband, father and provider was sick threw the close-knit family of four into a crazy whirlwind of emotional life changing events.
Residing in Franklin, Texas (population approximately 1500), the Allbright family knew their only chance of survival was seeking cancer care in the world reknown Texas Medical Center. Because of the aggressive nature of Brian's cancer, the doctors said the only chance Brian had to survive was to receive a stem cell transplant. Brian has had many challenges going through chemotherapy. He even relapsed while in treatment and getting care far away from home has added another level of stress.
The journey has been and is mentally, psychically, and financially exhausting and the family has much further to go. Recently, Brian lost his job and with that came an adjustment of insurance coverage which has meant more out-of-pocket expenses for the family in order for Brian to keep his insurance. Fortunately A Shelter for Cancer Families has generously helped to provide free housing for the family while in Houston and even helped with making the holidays a little brighter but all of the costs for the family have now become quite burdensome with Brian unable to work.
The Allbright family has leaned into their faith and one another during this journey but they need our help. Please consider donating to help the Allbright family. They are most grateful for the support they have received thus far from A Shelter for Cancer Families and the prayers of their family and friends. With your help, they trust that God will carry them through the rest of the journey.
Donations to provide tangible support to the Allbright family through A Shelter for Cancer Families' Allbright Family campaign will tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. On behalf of Brian, Leta, Nathan & Natalie, thank you.
